AI Opportunity Scoring

Not every AI use case deserves investment. We help you pick the right ones first.

From Wish List to Ranked List

Most organizations can identify dozens of potential AI applications. The challenge is not finding opportunities but selecting which ones to pursue first. Our scoring framework evaluates every candidate against quantifiable criteria to produce a ranked list that accounts for business impact, technical feasibility, organizational readiness, and dependencies between initiatives. The result is a roadmap grounded in data, not executive enthusiasm or vendor persuasion.

Impact vs. Complexity

Each opportunity is plotted on a two-axis matrix: estimated business value against implementation difficulty. This immediately separates quick wins from long-term strategic investments.

ROI Estimation

We build bottom-up cost and benefit models for each use case. Time savings, error reduction, throughput improvement, and revenue impact are quantified with explicit assumptions you can verify.

Dependency Mapping

Some AI projects unlock others. We map prerequisite relationships so you invest in foundational capabilities first: data pipelines that serve multiple use cases, integrations that enable downstream automation.

Quick-Win Identification

We flag opportunities that can deliver visible results within 30 to 60 days using existing tools and data. Early wins build organizational confidence and justify continued investment.

Scoring Dimensions

Every opportunity is scored on five dimensions, each weighted according to your organization's priorities. The scoring is transparent, and you can adjust weights to see how different priorities change the recommended sequence.

Business value. Measured in annual dollar impact: labor cost reduction, revenue acceleration, error cost avoidance, or compliance risk mitigation. We use conservative estimates and make every assumption explicit.

Technical feasibility. Based on data availability, integration complexity, model maturity for the task type, and infrastructure requirements. A use case with proven solution patterns scores higher than one requiring novel research.

Time to value. How quickly can this deliver measurable results? We distinguish between initial deployment and full-scale rollout. A solution that delivers partial value in weeks while scaling over months gets credit for both timelines.

Who Benefits

This scoring exercise is essential for organizations that have completed an initial assessment and now face the question of where to invest. It is equally valuable for companies that have run AI pilots and need to decide which ones merit production deployment. The output is a decision tool, not a research paper.
